A childhood incidence:
A writer Mahmud Bangalori wrote an incidence of Tipu’s childhood.
Tipu was around 6/7 years old and he was playing with his childhood friends then a faqir (sort of saint) passing from there saw Tipu’s face and said you will become a sultan, at that time Tipu’s father was a officer in the Mysorean army, the saint said further when you will become a king construct a mosque here. In 1782 after the death of his father Haider Ali sahib Tipu became sultan, a de-facto ruler of Mysore and he constructed mosque there in 1787and named it
"Masjid-E-Aala."
