Haider Ali Sahib was so disciplined and had a vision how a commander should be so he appointed trainers and teachers to educate and train Tipu in techniques of wars, religion and different languages. Tipu was a brave soldier, a scholar, a poet and a smart person. It is said that Tipu Sultan while hunting in the forest Tipu came face to face with a tiger and killed the tiger. That earned him the name "the Tiger of Mysore".
Tipu was a very obedient son and he got married at the age of 24 years.

Haider Ali sahib ordered Tipu to write a deed of agreement, which shows Haider Ali sahib’s teaching style to Tipu that no one could be excluded when it comes to discipline.
